About Angela Pastas

Angela is a bilingual mental health therapist fluent in Spanish and English. With over seven years of experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and families in Mental health community advocacy organizations and outpatient settings, Angela can provide clients with the professional help they deserve. She believes that therapy can be an effective tool, with the proper support and guidance, to help in self-discovery journies. There is always a new opportunity to improve your lifestyle and create the life you deserve.

She is also passionate about outdoor activities, traveling, and art. She likes spending time with friends and family and enjoys painting and reading in her free time. Her areas of specialty are; depression, women’s issues, multicultural/social issues, peer relationships, anger management, trauma, and domestic violence. She incorporates the creative process to explore the conscious and unconscious and uses recognized therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques.

Angela has two passions in life, traveling and mental health. She has discovered her passion for mental health by traveling to 13 countries, learning about their cultures, and understanding human behavior. Additionally, as a person who came to the United States and faced several struggles as an immigrant, she accomplished her goals with the proper guidance and support and wants to do the same for her clients. She has also enrolled in several mindfulness, physical, emotional and spiritual courses in different countries to incorporate the mind, body and spirit concepts.

Angela is passionate about providing mental healthcare because she likes to teach, educate, raise self-awareness, motivate people and see how they achieve their goals. She believes people can improve their life with the right resources, guidance, and support.
