Christi Erdman, MA, LPC
Christi is a licensed professional counselor specializing in providing therapy for children as young as six, adolescents, and adults who struggle with various mental health issues. However, she prefers working with clients in their late teens and adults of all ages who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and grief. Christi likes to partner with her clients through their therapy journey but allows the client to drive the session. In her personal life, Christi is an advocate for volunteering and rescuing dogs. She currently has and adopted four dogs, one of whom has disabilities with being blind and deaf.
Christi studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Immaculata University and worked on achieving a certificate in Substance and Behavioral Addictions. She spent a year interning at Mirmont Treatment Center in PA, helping clients work through their alcohol/substance addictions using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Practices. She then spent a few months at an internship to work on her School Counseling certificate. Christi went on to contract work at that same location providing school-based therapy to children struggling with behavioral and/or mental health issues.
Christi is passionate about helping an individual be able to live their authentic life where they are happy and true to themselves. She likes to be able to help them manage their emotions and challenge any negative thinking or irrational thoughts that might be holding them back from what they want in their life.
