Phyllis Nehra, MS, LPC
Phyllis uses a mix of person-centered, solution-focused, and narrative therapies. She enjoys helping clients feel empowered to make changes in their lives and watching clients feel strong enough to set boundaries in their relationships to change behaviors that no longer serve them. In addition, Phyllis likes sparking curiosity and hope about the future. Her ultimate goal is to create an atmosphere that allows for free expression so you can feel empowered to live your best life.
In the experience Phyllis has gained over the last few years, the importance of trauma-informed treatment has presented itself. She has worked to gain knowledge regarding trauma treatment to help clients who have a history of PTSD and CPTSD. In addition, she has seen the importance of being HAES-informed. Phyllis is currently focusing on diet culture’s impact on self-esteem.
Phyllis is excited to help clients feel empowered to make changes in their lives that they may not have thought possible in the past. She enjoys watching people set boundaries and use clear communication when they had initially been uncomfortable with these ideas in the past. She hopes that people will express themselves fully to have fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
