Katherine is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University. She has worked in the field of Addiction and Mental Health for the past 14 years. She has counseled various populations in different settings, such as, withdrawal management, inpatient treatment, and outpatient programs. She has also worked as a case manager, providing referral services for those in need of treatment for mental health and/or substance use. Katherine has worked with adolescents, teens and adults providing awareness, prevention and intervention services. Intervention services include individual/ group counseling along with educational groups that focus on co-occurring disorders; those that are dealing with an addiction, anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, stress, grief/loss, and relational issues.
