Ronika Burton obtained her clinical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career at Friends Psychiatric Hospital, supporting a diverse community of patients with complex needs and various diagnoses. Ronika began to work in counseling and crisis intervention in the Philadelphia Prison System. She worked directly with incarcerated clients on the mental health caseload who had difficulty adjusting to the restrictions of being detained. Ronika provided more mental health and holistic-focused counseling at Spectrum Health, where she discovered her passion for giving client-centered counseling to patients from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Ronika specializes in Depression, Anxiety, and helping clients to prioritize self-care. Ronika believes in starting where the client is and that every client is the expert on their own life. Ronika's approach seeks to empower each client to work to identify solutions for their presenting concerns. Ronika takes a down-to-earth approach to counsel and is a self-proclaimed "cat lady" who loves to read historical romance novels.
