I have been working in the mental health field for over 5 years. I have experience in community based programs, as well as outpatient services working with clients struggling with a variety of diagnoses. I have experience working with families and children going through the foster care and adoption process as well as families struggling with significant behavioral and emotional disregulation due to trauma, grief and loss, and other life transitions and experiences. I believe that positive mental health is directly correlated with a more positive physical health. Therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and clinician, with the client being the expert on themselves and the clinician providing the tools, knowledge, and support through their therapeutic journey. I am willing to go through the process with to be able to put forth best self. I use cognitive behavioral therapy interventions as well as provide trauma informed care. I thrive to help those in need and break through barriers around the stigma of mental health. When I’m not providing therapeutic services, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, reading, and traveling to experience new things.

Why are you passionate about providing mental healthcare?
I believe that every person matters. I am passionate about being a part of the client’s process of change and helping my client to feel empowered while managing their struggles more effectively. This allows people the voice that they need to grow and learn as individuals. Witnessing clients put forth the effort to make the change gives me motivation to continue to keep pushing clients towards achieving a more positive wellbeing.
