AnnMarie is a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience in helping people who are facing various life crises, such as parenting children with special needs, bereavement, divorce, relationship issues, caring for loved ones, exploring career options, LGBTQ issues, becoming a parent, coping with unexpected illness, and stress, as well as in the development of coping, communication, social, and parenting skills. In addition to her professional experience, she is a mother of 3 adult children, 2 who have special needs, so, she has both a professional and personal understanding of the challenges that parents face in raising children with special needs. As a cancer survivor, and having experienced other unexpected adverse life events, she has a personal understanding of the feelings that can occur when one is faced with life-changing and unexpected illnesses and/or traumatic events and how to navigate through those challenging times.
