About
Briana obtained her counseling license to practice therapy in 2016. She has worked in clinical settings independently and within an outpatient healthcare setting in a team environment. Briana takes a holistic approach when it comes to a patient's wellness, so collaborative care is something that Briana is a strong advocate for.
She believes that building rapport in the therapeutic relationship is critical and sets the foundation for the healing journey. Briana typically uses evidence-based approaches and treatments, such as person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy. Recently, Briana has become more familiar with Mindfulness, which she tries to implement in her daily activities!

Why Healthcare
Mental health is a topic that Briana feels should be treated just as seriously as physical health. Mental health awareness is being discussed more, but there continues to be a stigma around this critical topic. Although challenging, Briana feels it's integral to speak openly about specific struggles to process and heal from these past or present conditions. We may not be able to control the outcome of certain situations, but we can control how we handle them.
