Robert Vandertoorn is a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years’ experience working in the psychiatric field. Robert has experience working with adults, children and families in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings. Although Robert specializes in CBT and DBT, and other various modalities, it is a priority for Robert to continue to recognize that each client’s case and background is different from one another.
Clients know themselves best and a collaborative approach may be beneficial to discover the best route to progress. A team-like approach is a priority in treatment. In his spare time, Robert enjoys spending time with his family and Boston Terrier. Some of his favorite activities include participating in sports, going to NJ Boardwalks and enjoying the relaxation of watching a good movie.
