Yomaira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in outpatient, community, and school-based mental health. Her experience in various settings has equipped her with the tools to serve individuals and families with diverse backgrounds and needs. Yomaira believes that healing entails a holistic approach that addresses the different components of overall health including but not limited to our mental, physical and spiritual health. Yomaira’s goal is always to empower her clients to find their own voice, ask for help, advocate for themselves, and learn to problem-solve in a safe non-judgmental setting. As a bicultural Latina who is bilingual in English and Spanish, Yomaira is also interested in issues of immigration and acculturative stress. She also has substantial experience working with LGBTQ+ youth. Some of her passions include fitness, hiking, reading, and arts & crafts – all of which she tries to incorporate into her therapeutic approaches when appropriate.

Why Healthcare
Yomaira is passionate about providing mental healthcare because she believes everyone deserves an opportunity to heal and grow. The stigma surrounding mental health has prevented many individuals from getting help that could have prevented a lot of pain and suffering. Her hope is to contribute toward normalizing mental healthcare and making it accessible to all.
