Shannon is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey, as well as a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor who is passionate about helping clients reach their full potential. She has worked in the helping field for 14 years and believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is extremely important and promotes trust and healing. Shannon uses evidenced-based modalities that help clients improve their lives and feel empowered.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and earned her Master’s degree from Rutgers School of Social Work. Shannon has received additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Exposure and Response Therapy (EX/RP). She uses a multidimensional approach to therapy that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Mindfulness techniques as well as Focusing techniques to help clients heal. In her free time, Shannon enjoys working out, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her family.
