Kimberly Pérez, M.S., LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 14 years of experience in the mental health field. Kim has worked extensively with survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, and human trafficking. She has been in the role of Forensic Interviewer for child sexual abuse cases referred by law enforcement and served as a State Attorney’s Office Liaison for sexual battery cases. In addition, Kimberly has experience providing therapy for formerly incarcerated men and women, the homeless, individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illness, those struggling with depression, self-harm, anxiety, substance use, teens with behavioral problems, issues within the parent-child relationship, etc. Kimberly has worked with youth and families referred by the School Board District and also via a Family Violence Intervention Program for first-time juvenile offenders who have been charged with domestic battery or assault. In addition, she has been in the role of Clinical Director of a Certified Rape Crisis Center & Domestic Violence Shelter, as well as a supervisor for a team of Family Therapists. She is especially passionate about the prevention of suicide and educating the community about Narcissistic & Psychopathic abuse. Kimberly employs an eclectic approach to treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual. Her therapeutic toolkit includes CBT, EMDR, Person-Centered techniques to prioritize individual autonomy, strength-based methods to harness personal assets, and compassion-focused strategies to cultivate a nurturing therapeutic environment.
