As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Michelle has helped many adolescents, adults, and families by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where they feel empowered to create change. Michelle utilizes a person-centered approach, as she values the importance of being authentic and empathetic to her client's challenges and stressors. Michelle believes the client is the expert, and the role of the therapist is to guide the client in drawing on their own interpersonal strengths to reach their full potential, in addition to identifying tangible goals and solutions. Michelle draws from other modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Integrative Therapy. Michelle uses Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Michelle's experience is in the areas of depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relational conflict, family systems, addiction, criminal justice, anger management, eating disorders/body image, and mood disorders. Michelle has worked in outpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and residential treatment settings. Michelle graduated from La Salle University with a Master's in Professional Clinical Counseling. In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her loved ones.
