About
Macey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). Her background includes therapy work in residential treatment facilities, school-based therapy, and outpatient counseling with children, adolescents, and adults.
Macey's goal as a therapist is to meet clients where they're at and empower them to use the amazingness already within them to create healing and change. Macey acts as a guide to assist clients in achieving the goals they have set for themselves and foster a safe environment to do so. Macey takes an eclectic therapy approach, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and an overall strength-based approach.
A few fun facts about Macey are that she is a pianist by trade, she enjoys crocheting, The Sims 4, and watching the same four sitcoms over and over again. You may see her 2 kitties from time to time in telehealth sessions, but don't worry, they are HIPAA-compliant kitters!

Why Healthcare
Macey is passionate about providing mental healthcare because she has been (and still is) the client in the therapeutic relationship too. Macey has lived experience with anxiety, depression, and trauma and found that therapy was one of the main tools that helped her on her healing journey. Macey has experienced counselors who were not a great fit, as well as counselors who were and respected the therapeutic relationship as a major catalyst for change.
