About
As a provider, Mara Kyzer is known for her warm, empathetic, and empowering approach to therapy. She creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported in their healing journey. Grounded in both personal insight and professional training, Mara blends Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to offer a flexible, individualized approach that meets each client where they are.
Mara has a special passion for working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly those navigating ADHD and autism. Her own lived experience with ADHD gives her a unique, compassionate understanding of the emotional and functional challenges many clients face. She is dedicated to creating neuroaffirming spaces where clients can better understand themselves, build confidence, and develop tools to thrive.
In addition to her work with neurodiversity, Mara specializes in supporting clients through relationship challenges, as well as the impacts of domestic violence and emotional abuse. She approaches these sensitive issues with care and trauma-informed practices, helping clients process their experiences, rebuild self-trust, and establish healthier patterns in relationships.
Mara's approach is deeply collaborative, strengths-based, and centered on the belief that everyone has the capacity for healing, connection, and growth. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, she brings compassion, authenticity, and a deep respect for each individual's story.
These areas hold a special place in Mara's heart, and her approach is always grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a belief in each client's ability to grow, heal, and thrive.
