About
Dolores’s goal is to provide an accepting and judgment-free space for all in order to work through and process whatever is getting in the way of living fully and feel safe while doing so. She infuses her therapy with humor while also working with clients to move forward at their own pace and provide support and encouragement. She has worked with clients experiencing acute bouts of mental health crises in the ER and in an inpatient unit. She has also worked with clients in community mental health settings with a variety of diagnoses and worked directly with veterans suffering from combat-related PTSD and other mental health issues. Her approach is typically eclectic and trauma-informed while leaning toward cognitive behavioral therapy and infusing other modalities depending on the client’s need.

Why Healthcare
Dolores believes that all of us have the right to live fully. She also believes that sometimes things get in the way, from a chaotic childhood to low self-esteem, violence or depression, job loss or divorce, or any other adverse event that blocks us from achieving true satisfaction and happiness. She feels that being a part of the process that helps individuals remove the barriers, grow from, and shed their painful histories is an honor that she could never experience in any other career.
