About
Julie has over 15 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, providing individual, family, and group therapy, as well as advocating for clients within systems. As a professional helper, her goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space to help you find your solutions to problem situations. Julie uses a blend of therapeutic approaches personalized to the specific needs of each individual. These approaches include psychodynamic and person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, mindfulness and relaxation, and trauma-informed care as well as others. What she enjoys the most about her work is when clients can increase self-awareness, develop insight, and create “aha” moments that lead to improved coping skills and personal growth. She has a deep respect for people’s personal journeys and a fundamental belief in their inherent strengths, courage, and power to succeed.

Why Healthcare
The light came on for Julie when she was getting her education degree and student teaching and realizing that she wanted to focus her attention on the children who were struggling. Whether it was due to challenges in school or at home, connecting with and supporting them so that they could thrive was the most satisfying aspect of teaching. She believes that mental health is health, that our mind, body, and soul are all connected, and that we all deserve to have accessible, quality mental healthcare so that we can feel and do our best as we journey through life. Julie simply can’t imagine spending her life doing anything other than this.
