Ashley Kwafo, APN, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her educational experiences at Rutgers University and Wilkes University, coupled with her occupational experiences in various inpatient and outpatient settings, continue to heighten her compassion in caring for those with mental health and addiction illnesses. Beginning every interaction with a smile, she prides herself on building a rapport with people from all walks of life and reminds clients that they have a valuable say in their care and treatment plan. Her treatment approach is cognitive-behavioral and strength-based, incorporating medication management, resilience, lifestyle changes, and therapy. She believes in "whole-person" care, nurturing the emotional, social, environmental, and economic conditions that affect one's mind and life quality. That said, as cooking makes her happy (emotional), she nurtures her mind by making delicious and cost-effective meals (economic) for her family and friends (social) in her spare time!! Although she has a great array of clinical interests, some of her specialties include depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, bipolar disorders, and substance use disorders. She is sincerely devoted to assisting and being a part of the journey of "taking care of you"!
