Brittany's love of art and creativity throughout childhood, combined with personal experience in struggling with mental health issues, has led her to a blossoming career in art therapy and mental health counseling. Brittany graduated Caldwell University in 2020 with a masters in Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Art Therapy She has has professional experience working with various populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric. She has worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and schools. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, behavior issues, trauma, special education, psychosis, and self-directed violence/ suicidal ideation.
Brittany's approach to mental health treatment is rooted in creative arts therapies approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. She believes that the client is the expert on their lives and that the therapist is there to guide and empower them towards wellness. Brittany's current goal is to become more educated in the field of ecotherapy and how nature can promote mental health and well-being. In her free time, Brittany enjoys going to the beach, being outdoors, exercising, binging TV shows, reading, making art, and spending time with her two cats.
