About
Galen has diverse experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, women's issues, and relational concerns. She is driven by the purpose of making a meaningful difference in people's enduring mental and physical health. Galen received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology at Trinity College. Her time at Trinity culminated in research that explored how social media has become a new area of identity construction and social interaction. Galen later pursued her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern University, with a concentration in Health Psychology. During this time, she developed a specific interest in the mind-body connection and mindfulness. Galen has experience working in areas of addiction and eating disorders, as well as treating comorbid conditions of anxiety, depression, etc. She takes a transdiagnostic approach and believes in developing a collaborative therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her purpose and intention is to assist her clients in reconnecting with their most authentic sense of self and to be an ally in the healing journey. When she is not in the office, Galen enjoys reading and exploring the city for hidden gems.

Why Healthcare
There is no one-size-fits-all in terms of restoring and maintaining physical and mental health. This healing journey can feel isolating and overwhelming, especially when the self-image we present to the world is expected to be stable and happy. Too often, this prevents people from sharing their true selves and connecting in healing ways. For this reason, Galen's passion and intention is to develop an authentic connection with her clients based on collaboration, curiosity, and a desire to change. Galen hopes to connect with, understand, and support her clients through their healing journey.
