Karen M. Moorley is an Intake and Assessment Therapist in Boynton Beach, Florida. She has more than 10 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She has also worked in the Research industry as a Clinical Rater. Her work included administering psychological assessments to clients with bipolar, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, etc., to identify diagnoses and assess the severity of diagnoses to determine eligibility for clinical trials. Her work also included administering cognitive tests to measure executive function tasks and changes in cognitive function required for daily living.
Karen has experience with quality improvement in clinical documentation. She has coordinated and implemented policies and procedures for providers so that documentation fulfills the criteria for accreditation (Joint Commission) and follows all state requirements. She has reviewed all treatment notes for discrepancies or inadequate documentation to ensure compliance and has assisted providers in chart completion by clarifying deficiencies or explaining chart completion requirements to include ASAM requirements.
Karen has a 13-year-old Chihuahua/Maltese mix that she adores. In her spare time, she loves spending time at the beach, walking, hiking, or playing pickleball.
