Kari has been a licensed social worker in the human services field since 2009. She has diverse professional experience in school and community social work, residential treatment facilitating, county casework, and crisis intervention. During Kari’s graduate-level practice, she gained excellent experience as a therapist in outpatient and inpatient settings, offering a dual diagnosis program for substance abuse and mental health. She also provided trauma-focused therapy to women of domestic violence and sexual assault. Kari has provided psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in private practice this past year.
Kari enjoys seeing an eclectic group of clients and is committed to providing a warm, non-judgmental space to foster a positive pathway to mental health. Her method is collaborative, trauma-informed, person-centered, and always rooted in evidence-based practices. Her proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy presents opportunities to reflect and identify underlying issues while offering skills and tools to use in great distress.
