About
Karin aims to help guide you to become the fullest, most authentic expression of yourself. Karin has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in partial hospitalization, mobile crisis, and child welfare settings, which has allowed her to work with people struggling with a variety of illnesses, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and personality disorders. Karin’s experience also includes family and extensive group therapy, and she can help you address challenges such as ADHD, addiction, anger management, self-esteem, and many more. Karin uses an eclectic approach to therapy, including positive affirmations, gratitude, mindfulness, communication skills, humor, and radical self-compassion. Karin is interactive in sessions, and accepts clients where they are, yet gently challenges barriers that impede growth and change. Karin uses a variety of evidence-based treatments to help you achieve your goals and live the life you want. Karin specializes in mindfulness-based, trauma-focused, and Dialectical (DBT) approaches. Karin enjoys crafting/DIY, entertaining, and crossword puzzles; the beach is one of her favorite places.
