Niya is a Southern New Hampshire University graduate with a BA in Sociology and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She has over twenty years of experience in various roles, such as early childhood education, social work, and law enforcement. This diverse background provides a wealth of knowledge and insight into the challenges that can hinder growth and how to overcome them. Niya strives to empower clients to grow in awareness of their potential by challenging limiting beliefs and behaviors that hold them back.
It is never too late to begin again, and she recognizes that everyone has the power to change and accomplish their goals in life. Niya practices an eclectic approach utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered and mindfulness techniques while providing a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment.
