Nonata A. Calcines is a registered mental health counselor intern with the State of Florida, fulfilling her clinical hours in psychological and mental health disorders/conditions. Under the guidance of wonderful professionals, she is gaining valuable experience in forming therapeutic alliances with individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and life stages.
She has completed training and obtained certifications in TF-CBT, MBSR, De-escalation Crisis Intervention techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is currently enrolled in the Polyvagal Theory in Trauma Treatment online certification course. Currently, she is participating in her practicum as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher program. As she explores the profound connection between mind and body, Nonata feels deeply inspired by the stories and experiences of every individual she encounters. Nonata is committed to fostering a collaborative and transformative healing experience, one step at a time, one moment at a time, and one session at a time.
Nonata looks forward to sharing her professional journey with all of you. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her beloved dogs, partner, and family, as well as indulging in moments of solitude with a good book or engaging in outdoor activities such as snorkeling and kayaking.
