About
Sydnee began providing outpatient mental health care to a variety of ages and demographics in 2020. She specializes in college-aged and emerging adults and utilizes a variety of different treatments, including CBT and DBT, to assist her clients in improving their quality of life. Though CBT and DBT are her primary modalities, Sydnee considers herself an eclectic therapist and bases her treatment on the individual client. She strongly believes in the person-in-environment approach to treatment and recognizes that many barriers to wellness are caused by macro-level, systemic issues. When she isn’t working with clients, she can be found reading, junk journaling, writing creative fiction, or playing Animal Crossing. Her favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy, and she is always looking for new recommendations. Her favorite Animal Crossing villager is Erik!

Why Healthcare
Sydnee first considered a career in mental health in high school. As a teenager, she became acutely aware of the struggles many people face in their daily lives at both the micro and macro levels. She wanted to blend her passion for social justice and mental health, so she pursued her degree in clinical social work.
