About

Teri believes in building a respectful, collaborative therapy relationship with each person to assist them in achieving their highest and best selves. She believes that personal growth is achieved by further developing the strengths that we each have and learning new skills on life's journey. Teri encourages clients to honor themselves and their life stories in order to live in the present and reach for the future. This spans work with behavioral health, substance use, dual diagnosis, trauma and PTSD, chronic illness and pain, perinatal and postpartum mental health needs, anxiety and self-esteem, personality disorders, and coping with life transitions, including relationship issues, divorce, caregiver stress, and grief/loss. Her experience of over 30+ years as a therapist includes working in a variety of community-based outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings.

Teri's self-care includes exploring different forms of art, playing guitar, reading, spoiling her dog and cat (treats, anyone?), and spending quality time with family and friends. She is an avid music collector. When time allows, she likes to paint and write.

Why Healthcare

Everyone has a right to tell their story without judgment, to make their life as meaningful as possible, to find their purpose, and to live their heartfelt passion. Sometimes the path to pursuing life seems clouded by emotional pain. When the pain of continuing in the same life patterns is greater than the uncertainty of the future, a person will choose to explore a change for themselves. Mental health care is an important component of regaining emotional strength and self-compassion to move forward with the life you want and deserve.
