About Sophie Hans

Sophie received her Masters degree in Social Work from Rutgers University with a focus in clinical practice with families and adolescents. She has worked with diverse populations of adults, adolescents, children, families, and groups who have been impacted by economic barriers, trauma, abuse & neglect, body image, psychosis, and grief. Sophie specializes in CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused work, using mindfulness, breathing techniques, visualization, and goal setting to help clients reach their short- and long-term goals.

While in college Sophie found a passion for yoga. She now loves to connect yoga and therapy with mindfulness and breathing techniques. She is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. Sophie has completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training as well as continuing education in trauma informed yoga and prenatal yoga.

Why are you passionate about providing mental healthcare?

Sophie is passionate about providing mental healthcare because she believes it is an essential form of healthcare. She has always said you have to take care of yourself first and has been a big believer of self care for as long as she can remember. Providing mental healthcare gives Sophie the opportunity to support her clients to prioritize themselves first and gain a full understanding of their symptoms associated with mental health.
