Why Healthcare

There are various reasons why Alyssa is so passionate about providing mental healthcare. She has always had a passion for mental health due to struggling with anxiety growing up. In 2007, Alyssa lost a family member to a brutal domestic violence incident. After this experience, she grew to be a strong advocate for domestic violence victims/survivors. She saw members of her family coping with this tragedy in various ways as the years went on, which allowed her to understand the numerous factors mental health contributes to these occurrences. Domestic violence has been a very frequent topic throughout Alyssa's life. Regardless of an individual's education on domestic abuse or knowledge of the signs, it can happen to anyone. Providing mental healthcare has always been a passion throughout Alyssa's life.
