About
Katelyn primarily follows a person-centered approach to therapy. Katelyn strives to build a therapeutic relationship that empowers her clients. The client is in charge of their therapy, and Katelyn hopes to help them find the tools they need to reach their treatment goals. Katelyn has worked with clients with vast sets of needs and encourages clients to bring their whole selves into the space. She hopes to provide empathy and affirmation, as well as psychoeducation and means of managing, such as learning coping skills. Katelyn understands the importance of a well-rounded approach to managing mental health. Her approach also focuses on ways in which clients can increase self-care and find joy. For example, Katelyn engages in mindful activities such as crocheting and reading and finds joy in all things theatre.

Why Healthcare
Katelyn is passionate about providing mental health care as it is a way to provide an empathetic and accepting space for those who need it. Katelyn wants to be able to provide a space for people to be vulnerable and to work on themselves because the populations she is passionate about may not have that in their personal lives. Everyone deserves to have a place to go to express themselves and be heard.
