Nancy Alonzo is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Nancy received her Bachelor's Degree from Florida International University in 2013, and her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2016.
Nancy has a wide variety of clinical experience with different aged populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, in various settings (juvenile justice day treatment centers, schools, community mental health, and home-based therapy). She has been serving clients experiencing conduct disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and illness, and adjustment issues. From working with at-risk youths to adults facing difficult life transitions, her broad clinical training, combined with her nurturing and compassionate therapeutic style, have produced positive outcomes for her clients. Nancy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness approaches to help her clients achieve their goals.
Nancy believes that providing clients with a caring and safe space to explore their issues, where they feel supported, validated, and understood, is a catalyst for positive change.
In her free time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She's also an avid reader who enjoys spending time at the beach and dancing.

Why Healthcare
As a consumer of mental health services many years ago myself, I benefitted so much from receiving these services. Therefore, my passion grew for becoming a therapist. I wanted to offer others the same opportunity to help them thrive and grow within the therapeutic process.
