About

Elizabeth likes to be called Liz for short. She is a well-rounded therapist who makes sure that your comfort is most important. She feels that when someone is comfortable, they can be vulnerable, and this is when the true work begins. Liz works with those experiencing mental health issues, trauma, and addictions. She uses several different modalities and approaches. She tries to match the person with their needs. Liz encourages individuals to let her know when one technique does not work, and she will find something else that will work. Never taking this personally is her motto. She has been in the field since 1997, and worked with various populations and places. She feels that she is a laid-back person. Liz is someone who never takes life too seriously. She loves playing with her dogs and going to the beach when she can.

Why Healthcare

Elizabeth has been interested in Psychology since she was in seventh grade. She read a book, and that was it. She has never waivered from this career since that day. She has always liked to work in different settings, such as prisons, drug rehabs, traumatic brain injuries, and schools. Not knowing what she wanted, she held different jobs, doing different things, but always doing therapy or psychology. Her passion is therapy and helping people help themselves. She loves seeing someone be able to go from having more bad days to having more good days. She does this because, throughout her career, she has seen more miracles than she can count. Her love of teaching also shows through when she is able to teach someone how to use the techniques to better their lives and live their best lives.
