About
Marisa is a driven individual who has experience working in settings like schools and community agencies before becoming a remote clinical therapist. She has worked with children, teens, and adults which has opened the door to understanding the complex challenges that can arise during those different phases of life.
Reaching out for help in any way, shape, or form may be the first step in making a change, but it can be a pretty scary experience.
Marisa's therapeutic approach is based on the idea of meeting a client at their current level of readiness or understanding; wherever they may be on their own journey. Her goal as a therapist revolves around creating an inclusive and nonjudgemental environment. She is completely committed to embracing those of all backgrounds, identities and lifestyles. Marisa believes that progress looks different to each individual and that everyone works at their own pace. There is no 'one size fits all' in my experience! The "best" treatment approach is entirely dependent on that individual's unique needs, circumstances and goals!
Marisa is an active individual who enjoys trying new things and meeting new people.
