About
Nichelle is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who provides tailored mental health diagnoses and treatment to adults from diverse backgrounds. She has over 10 years of experience providing care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, correctional, and skilled nursing facilities. She deeply cares about each of her clients and devotes her time to working closely with each of them to address their individual needs. She believes every human being has within them the ability to overcome mental illness and achieve wholeness and that medications can help facilitate that healing. She also understands that psychotherapy plays an even more significant role in many cases and will always encourage her clients to make it an integral part of their treatment.
Knowing the importance of work-life balance, when Nichelle is not providing care to her clients, she enjoys pilates, pizza, and football. She is a diehard Eagles fan.

Why Healthcare
Nichelle became a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner because she saw the need and felt that she could become a resource for many who were lacking. She was frustrated that a mental health illness was treated differently than a medical illness and wanted to help decrease the social stigma associated with mental illness. She believes the same way an individual would prioritize treating their hypertension or diabetes, their anxiety or depression should be met with the same level of concern. Her personal goal is to enhance the delivery of mental health care to assist clients in better management and outcomes associated with mental health conditions.
