Michelle McCarthy is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Rowan University in 2021. Her background includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatry and the treatment of substance use disorders.

Why Healthcare
Michelle’s personal journey led to her desire to provide good mental healthcare since she struggled with anxiety as a young adult and understands how challenging mental health issues can be. Michelle knew as a teenager that she wanted to help people and her time as a nurse made her realize there was a huge need for knowledgeable and caring mental health providers which led her to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
