Michelle McCarthy is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Rowan University in 2021. Her background includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatry and the treatment of substance use disorders.
Michelle has over 22 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, delivering care to patients dealing with various medical and mental health issues. Michelle was the Recipient of the 2021 Rowan University Medallion Award, the highest honor for a graduate, acknowledging superior performance in nursing. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to her clients. Why Healthcare
Michelle’s personal journey led to her desire to provide good mental healthcare since she struggled with anxiety as a young adult and understands how challenging mental health issues can be. Michelle knew as a teenager that she wanted to help people and her time as a nurse made her realize there was a huge need for knowledgeable and caring mental health providers which led her to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
