Emilia's passion for being a therapist stems from her own life and helping others. Emilia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and Nevada. She received a bachelor's and master's degree in Social Work from Wheelock College. Emilia has always been a passion for mental health, and she believes it's a human right to make it accessible to all. Emilia believes that individuals are the experts in their own lives, and in their work together, individuals will be given the tools necessary to succeed.
Emilia has worked in psychiatric crisis, individual therapy with college students, and addiction. Emilia has worked with all ages and backgrounds. Emilia's funny, relatable, friendly personality allows her to create a safe space for clients and a strong therapeutic relationship. Emilia utilizes many interventions such as solution-focused, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, CBT, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches. She specializes in depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, addiction, domestic violence, and life or role changes (relationship issues, marriage, divorce, birth, infertility, loss/grief, career change, and retirement).
In Emilia's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two emotional support dogs, Kobe and Tonks. She enjoys reading, watching tv, art, taking the dogs for walks, going out to eat, and spending time with her friends and family.
